Sumerian Battle Car

I haven't posted anything on my biblical armies for quite some time but have just finished this gorgeous Cutting Edge, Early Sumerian Battle Wagon. The whole Cutting Edge range was sculpted by Ebob and are simply superb figures. It is a great pity that biblical armies aren't more popular as these figures are just a joy to collect, game with and paint. The Cutting Edge website is no longer operational but you can still order them through the Curtey Miniatures' site.

  3. That looks great - I don't think I have ever seen one of those painted before. I know I wouldn't have wanted to ride in that :)

  4. You did a tremendous job on this wagon. Though I have to totally agree with Jonathan as it looks like a tough ride in this thing.

  5. Thanks Jonathan, Moiterei and Christopher. I think it would have been a rough and slow old ride!

  6. AAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been trying to buy a some "Early City-State Spearmen II: EMB27" as well as some "Early 4 Equid Battle-Car I: EMB33" from Curteys Miniatures or about a month now and they are out.

I was told by them that they have no clue when they will be restocked!!!

  7. Larry have you tried emailing Pete directly? His contact details are on the Cutting Edge website. Foundry, Eureka and Newline do some nice Sumerian ranges as well if you have no luck there.

    1. I have spoken with Pete - he has now located to Thailand. He will be returning to the UK periodically to help with the line. Curteys are the ones dealing with it and I have no clue who is actually making them.

Those others are my back-up plan, but it looks like Foundry no longer has them either.

    2. That is a pity. Maybe Curteys are waiting for enough orders before they cast the next batch?

The Eureka ones are excellent, they make straddle cars as well. Foundry have said in their newsletters that if anyone wants particular items from earlier ranges to email them.

  8. EBOB certainly produces some superb sculpts and your wonderful painting of this is a great advert.

  10. Hi Guys, just to put you straight on the range. Ebob did not sculpt the whole range. Simon Fraser particularly has sculpted many of the figures and other sculpters too. cheers, Pete

  11. Hi Pete, thanks for that information, I wasn't aware of that, my apologies. I hope you are still continuing with the range, at some stage? Biblical armies never seem to be that popular and it is hard to get people interested in even playing a game!

    Best wishes

  12. Great looking model and paintwork. The red contrasts very well with the wood.
