More Gladiators for Jugula

Familia Set Two

Scissor

Here are four more 35mm Gripping Beast gladiators for Jugula, from their Familia Set Two. They are left to right, a Scissor, Dimachaerius, Sagittarius and Provocator. These are great figures to collect and paint. I have quite a few 28mm gladiators but the slightly bigger figures are pretty cool and work really well playing Jugula. I have three sets of four figures in 35mm and will probably get more of these when they release the next sets.

I'd like to wish everyone a Merry Xmas and happy gaming, painting and blogging for 2015!

Dimachaerius

Sagittarius

Provocator

  2. Very cool, Mike. I also have some 28mm gladiators but these larger figures do seem appropriate.

    1. Thanks Dean, the Crusader gladiators are my favourite 28mm range but the GB 35mm are really nice too. Have a great Xmas and New Year!

  8. Hi Cyrus. What's your catch on Jugula? We've only played it twice, but found it quite dull to be honest... One must build first the support of the crowd, otherwise nothing happens... Are we missing something essential? I'd love to give it another chance.

  9. I haven't played a whole lot myself, but the main idea of the game is to have a campaign as a lanista and build up your troop of gladiators. As a straight combat between pairs of gladiators it is a bit limited. it definitely pays to build up your support and cards before you launch an attack...
