More Celts - A Warband and Skirmishers

Here are photos of more Celts that I've finished rebasing and touching up. The warband in the photos above are mainly A&A and Renegade Miniatures figures with a few others, I'm not sure about. They were part of a big batch of second hand painted figures I bought early last year. I had to redo a lot of the shields with LBM and VVV transfers, although a few are hand painted with simple designs. The archers and javelin men below were part of the same batch and have been rebased, touched up and some have had LBM transfers applied to their shields.

The slingers below were painted by Col Jones and are a mix of Warlord and Wargames Factory figures. The final unit of javelin men were painted by me ages ago and are a mix of Vendel (converted Maiotian tribesmen from their Early Persian range), 1st Corps and Renegade figures. I have another war band and a couple of skirmisher units to finish then I should be right to go with my first game with the Celts. Looking forward to that!

Celtic Cavalry

Above are photos of the Celtic Cavalry painted by Col Jones that I mentioned in my last post. The first unit are mainly Gripping Beast figures with a few Warlord Games ones added in, while the second small unit are all Warlord Games. The unit in the photos below were painted by me and are all Warlord Games figures. Quite a decent start in cavalry for my Celts but I still have quite a few cavalry units to paint with A&A, Foundry, Renegade and Tin Soldier figures. I'll post photos of some skirmishers next.

Celt Warbands

Here are photos of three Celt Warbands - all very nicely painted by Col Jones. The figures are mainly Warlord Games (plastic and metal) but there are also a few Wargames Factory and 1st Corps figures as well. I had to rebase about half of these figures which has taken a while to do but I'm happy with the results and this is a great start to getting my Celts on the table. I'll post some photos of the cavalry next.
