Here are a few photos of a Mithradatic Pontic versus Marian Romans Hail Caesar game, Garry and I played at my place last Wednesday. The Pontics maintained their undefeated record (three nil) against the Romans. It was a fairly one sided affair with the Roman cavalry on both flanks breaking and then the Roman division on the left flank following suit. Garry chose a later Pontic army with good cavalry and imitation legionary heavy infantry and these proved to be more than match for their late Republican Roman opponents.

  1. Game panorama is very appealing but tough battle for the Romans. 3-0 to the Pontic Army? The Romans may need to rethink either their tactics or get their cavalry to hang around on the battlefield a bit longer.

Do I see a number of "To The Strongest" markers in use in the Hail Caesar game?

  3. Thanks Jonathan, definitely need to revise tactics for the Romans, I might try dispensing with cavalry altogether. The markers are for HC -might be by the same company that makes the TTS ones?
