Unarmoured Macedonian/Successor Pike

Here are a few photos of a unit of unarmoured Macedonian or Successor pike that I have just finished painting. The figures are mainly Crusader with a few Foundry in the front rank for variety and the shield transfers are by LBM. These chaps will feature in our Battle of Gabiene, Command and Colors Ancients participation game at Little Wars Canberra, at the Vikings Club Lanyon on Sunday 6 November. Rick, Garry and I will be running this, so if you want to play or just drop in for a chat this is a great, fun, friendly, low key event, if you are in the area. Information about it can be found on the Little Wars website:

  4. They look grimly determined. The use of the same design as the shields on the standard works really well.
