Samnite Commander

Here are a few photos of a Samnite Commander that I've just finished for my Samnite army. The figures are by A&A Miniatures and Crusader Miniatures with LBM/Victrix shield transfers. I haven't made that much progress on my Samnite army but they should have their first outing this weekend. No doubt another glorious defeat is awaiting! Anyway this Sunday down at the club we have two games lined up. In the morning a quick 100 point ADLG game with Etruscans versus Samnites and in the afternoon a Black Powder ACW game with a scenario from Glory Hallelujah. Should be fun!

  1. Good looking co and stand. The horse furniture on the Palomino is quite interesting. Is that a bronze face mask atop the horse's snout?

Good luck in you games this weekend!

    1. Thanks Jonathan. The A&A palomino does have a bronze mask and a fancy chest harness as well, the Crusader commander is actually a bit plainer but I have more command stands to do so will make the next one A&A with fancy kit.

      Thanks, should be fun.

  4. Very nice - may they at least die gloriously! Maybe you need a yoke as part of a base camp for all those Romans who will be surrendering to you...?
