Sumerian L'Arte de la Guerre Game

Last Monday afternoon Craig came over to my place and we played a 200 point Sumerian L'Arte de la Guerre (ADLG) game - our first game for 2017. We had similar Sumerian armies, Craig commanded the army of Lagash and was the defender, while I commanded the army of Ur and was the attacker. The spearmen of Lagash counted as armed with pavise which added a +1 to their protection but we forgot to apply this through the whole game! It was a hard fought encounter, both armies became demoralised in the same turn but, Ur suffered a greater number of casualties and their commander was killed in the final turn. Thanks to Craig for a fun game.

  5. Armies look great. Castaway chariots still my favourite. Just missing front aprons for some reason. Was hoping Gerry would re sculpt the Sumerian range after removing from site.
Such a great period to game.

    1. Thanks Colin, I'm just finishing the basing on 4 of the Castaway chariots we used in our game. I really like the onagers he did, not sure if he plans to redo the range, I think he has been flat out with work in recent years. Absolutely a great period to game, it's a pity it's not more popular...
